    Agree. Stopped by Frys on a whim and they had a Day 1 sale -- grabbed it. Didn't get to mess around too much. The character creation is too extensive for my limited patience, but I did manage to come up with a reasonable facsimile of Javier Bardem. Driving seems looser than I remember from the original, but combat controls are easy and satsifying. Highlight: during Crowd Control, I grabbed an overzealous fan as a human shield, and discarded her by tossing her into a jet engine turbine on the celeb's plane. Good stuff.

  3. It's tossed up between this and Dead Space. On one hand, I haven't played a Survival Horror game since like RE4. On the other, I was strapped to SR until I beat it the first time around.

  4. The the low-stress havoc wreaking of SR2 provides a nice counter to tense survival horror of Dead Space. But I'm pretty tempted by Dead Space -- it looks really impressive.

  7. This game is fucking rad, and I find myself continually saying "this is what GTA4 should've been". Tons of things to do, no retarded lock on system + shitty implementation of "aiming", better control scheme, THROWING PEOPLE, and the plot is filled with a good amount of comedy (just like the original) and it still doesnt take itself seriously (which is a good thing).

    Flashing people, car surfing, base jumping, setting peace rally people on fire plus tons and tons of other things to do - all coupled with a smart and intuitive control scheme (hello cruise control)...this is THE sandbox game to own right now.

    I love how the goth store is named "NOBODY LIKES ME"

  8. All true. They eschewed all the boring stuff, and added more great stuff. 100% sandbox...racing, killing, pimping, diving, flying, beating, and generally blowing shit up. Not disappointed at all.

  9. I think the game is great but WTF! at how they changed insurance fraud. I also don't like that there are no more barber shops in the city. I know it is a small detail but having them in the first game and not in this one seems to be an odd thing to do. It's not like they did a whole lot, but being able to get new hair styles and facial hair at different shops is sorely missed. Anyway, I thought this store was funny as hell when I found it.

    I can agree with this as well. The targeting always annoyed the hell out of me in the GTA series. While its not perfect in Saints Row, it had a much better fit for me.
