Thread: 28 Weeks Later Official

  1. I watched the trailer and for some reason I got a 'direct to video' vibe from it. It better not be terrible, the original was great.

"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."

  2. If it can keep the frantic pace of the first one, then I think it'll be a winner. If, however, it has way too much build-up before the first 'infected' strikes then I fear it'll be a partial snoozer punctuated by a sudden jolt in the action which won't be able to save the film in time before the credits roll.
    Time for a change

Almost seems like it has to be. I can't imagine them autopiloting quickly the repopulation of London and going right into the first outbreak. Then again, nothing can really replace Jim waking up like he did in the first one.

  4. Danny Boyle is not involved, which means it's going to suck.

  5. He's the executive producer, if that's worth anything to you.

But yeah, I'm not optimistic about this.

  6. So this is coming out next Friday...I think it looks pretty good, maybe not quite as frantic as the first one at a first glance but an interesting take on the aftermath of the infection.

  7. i don't know why.. but this actually looks like it could be cool... i'll see it, and it will probably be a disaster.
look here, upon a sig graveyard.

we supposedly have zombie fans on this board and there's no fucking thread or love yet? i cannot wait to see it after i get out of work today.

the ign review makes it sound like an hour and a half of unrelenting action. sounds good enough for me, even if it isn't a "true" sequel.

  10. Dyne - I made one already about 10 threads down.
