I think Melf thought that Gas' thread was made AFTER this one. Gas only had this one by a year.
why close that one and not this one? Why not merge this newer one with the older one ... like they usually do.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

I'm not a devious man by nature... but when you're unarmed, your tactics might gonna be downright Archimedean.

This could go either way. Iev never read anything Spirit related but they seem to focus on his relationships with the ladies a lot in the trailer.
I was cautiously optimistic after the first trailer but this just threw that all out the window. I was fine with the Sin City aesthetic as long as they respected the general tone of the comic, but that obviously ain't happening at all. Might as well just rebrand this as Piss on Will Eisner's Corpse: The Movie.
Either that trailer was meant to make no sense, or Miller is making a shitty movie (or both).
Nice to see they used Choke for the music, though.

I agree with Bacon.
Frank deserves some bad shit for fucking with the Spirit the way he is. I don't know what the fuck this movie is supposed to be like, but the Spirit, it ain't.
What's weird to me, is that FM spent quite a lot of time with Eisner. There's even a book-length set of interviews and conversations between the two of 'em.
I don't know how this got to be what it is, unless Will was just "hey Frank, do a Spirit movie just like your Sin City movie".
Maybe Frank sold out to complete his circle from being blackballed from the Robocop 2/3 days. Anyway, it's good to see FM getting a non-Sin City directorial role. If he can keep this momentum up, we can see him take the Batman reigns from Nolan (when he's done).
I'll go see this. I don't criticize a movie for being a loose adaptation of a referenced work (it comes with the Hollywood territory), though I admit I am not that familiar with The Spirit.
