I have the PC version and it still looks pretty damn good (not to mention the fact that it runs really well on older systems and is easy to find for cheap).

A remake at this point is a waste of time/resources imo.

I somewhat agree with Dole on Chronicles, but that's only because the film is trying to be something greater then just what the series originally started with. Take out all this necro crap and it would have made the proper sequel.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. The original was dark, gritty, and had a fairly realistic atmosphere (for a sci-fi movie). Riddick himself was just protrayed as a scumbag murderer out for himself.

Then Chronicles comes along and tries to paint Riddick as this grand champion of the cosmos who's "the last of his race of magical warriors" and is "destined to save the universe" and there's stupid fucking scenes where he's fighting The Flash or whipping that girl around with one arm like a fucking airplane propeller to club a bunch of necro-assholes like something out of a pro wrestling cartoon and Judi Dench is being her usual cunty British self and I'm saying "wow, this is the shittiest sequel since Matrix Revolutions."

Some other sites were reporting that 50% of this remake will be new content. If that's true, I'd consider buying it again.

On the vid, it's explained that the new content really picks up after the main part of the original story ends, so I'm thinking this is Riddick plus some major expansion pack included.

A new game would be awesome, but I'm definitely down to replay Escape From Butcher Bay with next-gen power and additional content. It's one of the best games of last gen.

P.S. - I love the Riddick movies.
