The best part about Apprentice is beating the snot out of some noob who thought he was going to beat you just by taking him.

I'm one achievement from the 30 achievement pointso at that point you get all hte items you can get via achievements right?
Yeah, I think so. Congrats btw! I hit 20 last night; I kinda doubt I'll be able to reach 30.
Eh they're not hard. The last one is either going to be 200 impacts, 20 just impacts, or the distance one. Or I may save up and buy all the gallery images.
So, Yeller, what's wrong with creating characters? It's fun and can actually alter gameplay. That's bad?
I took all your French Toast.
Yes. Every single time.
It uniformly takes away from the main game, and makes things about "let's make this guy look like Kratos!" or "let me boost my stats all the way!". You're not playing a fighting game at this point, you're fucking around in menus. It detracts from the main gameplay, and in cases where it appears in multiplayer games, turns 'em into an arms-race for the best set of stats/items.
Don't like it!
There's an argument that can be made for it being a creative outlet for folks who usually don't have a creative outlet, but I'm not particularly interested in seeking that out in a game. I really don't want to "make my own fun" in a game, I want the game to be good enough on the merits of the gameplay elements the game designers shipped it with.
I think it's a bad precedent that's been set in modern game design. Same with a lot of "sandbox" stuff.
