I'll never see this movie.
I saw this last night and came away less than impressed.
I'll never see this movie.
oh i wasn't expecting anything. i still came away less than impressed.
Some of the platforming and stuff was OK. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. (Molina was awesome at the ostrich racer). But the movie had way too much cheese in its writing. A shame, because the time gimmick really was a good one. Also the political message going on in this movie is dumb too.

Mediocre to the bones, trying to much to ape the magic of POTC, but with too much sand and muted, boring colors. There were few decent stunts, but the way it was filmed killed the flow of parcour. Was not too impressed with Doniie Darko's Dastan, though he did quite well with his stunts. Gemma, was there to walk and look somewhat pretty. I guess anyways, though I didn't get any instant boner effect, as all of the characters on screen seem to have. Kingsly at least seemed having some decent time chewing the script as meany uncle Baldy. And so did Alfred Molina, as the Jack Sparrow on the Camel, only with Ostriches instead of boats.
It just the the whole film felt...BORING. And I LOVE this type of flicks, which made me even more sad. When even elaborate action bits, bring only yawns as your response, we got the problem. It also felt too much of Assassin Creed, than POP, with all of the street/crowd chases, mingling in crowds and a fucking white outfit and a hood. AHA.
The best part of the film was the duel between one of the hassassins and tribal knife master. Now THAS shit, was exciting, cool and tragic. If only we had more of this kind and less stupid sand scenes, and lame attempts for humor it would have worked better.
Also, while expected the whole rewind the shit for a happy end type of ending was dumb as stack of hammers. While you can expect anything other than that, from big summer blockbuster, it still pretty much crapped on 1:40 minutes of what happened before. Oh well, them are the breaks.
Overal, I guess I made it through even with the efforts of the screen to lul me to sleep. But I doubt I will be watching it ever again.
Despair hated Master and Commander because there was too much fucking water.
Lies !!! Never actually seen thatIf all, I might complain it had too much Crowe

Don't get me wrong, I hated Prince of Persia. But it takes place in a fucking desert.
A FUCKING DESERT DESPAIR. YOU KNOW WHAT'S IN A FUCKING DESERT DESPAIR?
FUCKING SAND IS IN A FUCKING DESERT.
But it was BORING sand !!! Also, lame CG sand as well.
