New MGS Substance details from OPM

That issue of OPM was printed BEFORE E3 and that info was nothing but speculation taken from Gamers.com. The game is officially called Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (as opposed to Metal Gear Solid: Substance) and no, it doesn't contain a remake of the original game.

It'd be great to see the original 2D Metal Gears re-released as someone else mentioned, but considering Kojima for some reason refuses to release a Snatcher/Policenaughts compilation I have my doubts we'll see 'em anytime soon.

I don't know about that. With Konami rereleasing Contra III for the GBA, the possibility of a Metal Gear 1/2 compilation for the GBA (or any other console) doesn't seem so unlikely anymore. Personally, I would much rather see Policenauts in English. I'm thinking of tracking down the Saturn version, as well as Sexy Parodius.

JU's right, the game is called Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance. Even the E3 trailer had the title. Although it would be a great idea to have MGS on there, I doubt it. Oh, and MG 1/2 compilation would be SHA-WEET!!(the GBA seems the most likely candidate for this). Although I have them already.

Yes, Even GBA port of MG/MG2/Snake Revenge would be great. Those games deserve something better than NES.

Then that was extremely unproffesional reporting, since they were presenting it as fact, not rumor. But then, that sort of thing doesn't really surprise me coming from ZD.

Link please? I wouldn't be so confident unless you have that directly from Kojima's mouth. Like I've said before, we don't know what these "Snake Tales" are, except that there are 5 of them, they all feature Snake, and they are unrelated to Sons of Liberty. Just like the previous 5 MG games...

Well, of course nobody but Kojima and Konami knows about the 5 Snake's Adventures. You can speculate that the 5 MG games will be in there, and that would be smart; giving the audience background info on Snake and his adventures. Trust me, a lot of people were confused about the whole Ninja thing in MGS because they didn't play the previous games. I will speculate, but it MIGHT happen. No definite news yet,but we'll see.
