Be sure to sweat on the bench and not wipe it up.
Knee is absolutely killing me - gotta rest it for a few days. Even with new shoes. I'll keep it monitored, it usually happens to me when i start up running again, i'll have to take a week off from constant knee pain and eventually it will subside.
Weight lifting is going great though, i think i'm going to go up next week. If I'm feeling really sick, i'll do what i can - I don't always do a full crazy workout but i'll do like....a half workout.
Your knee pain could just be a result of overall leg weakness (or just being old. HA!). Once you're feeling better, these exercises might help. For me, I've noticed that the stronger my quads are the less knee pain I have (I only have about 60% of the meniscus left in my right knee after it got shredded 10 years ago). Happy rehabbing.

I agree. Strengthen the legs, experience less knee pain.
I increase my weight 5 pounds every time I workout. I will prob hit failure at 220-230 I'm guessing. I'm at 215 right now (15 lbs over my body weight).
I don't really know what I'm doing much I just follow programs. I make sure my form is correct mainly. This program is called Stronglifts—meant for beginners to get in the habit and gradually work their way up to find their failure points.
