  4. Your average protein powder is 20 grams of protein a scoop. At 4 scoops you're taking in at least 80. wtf.

    60 or so grams of protein... but like 1400 calories.

    I used to do 60g and a buddy of mine told me you better be drinking a LOT of liquid with it. He said the kidneys get an ass kicking with that much and most is wasted in such an amount like that anyway. Any truth?

    Tons of varying information on the subject, I personally suggest to everyone to do a bit of research and draw your own conclusions.

    What isn't up for debate is how hard protein can be on your liver. I drink water and milk like it is going out of style.

  8. Yeah, there's tons of research, but the main thing is that everyone's body is different and doesn't react the same way to changes in diet. Some guys drink a small protein drink and shit hershey squirts for hours, while others can drink that shit all day with no problem (I don't seem to have any problems). Overall, however, people can only absorb so much protein in one sitting. You gotta experiment and see what works best for you. It takes time but eventually you'll get it.

    What's true is that lots of protein in your diet can indeed be hard on your liver and kidneys. Make sure you drink lots of water to help flush out your system and you should be okay.
