    Yeah, it's amazing how much energy some ppl have.

    Some ppl can work out 3x week and get everything they need out of it. Others are never satisfied with 6x week. All this to say that no one should feel bad about "only" getting to the gym 3x week. Not everybody wants/needs/should be doing triathlons.

    Define your goals and meet them on your own terms. Don't sweat the other guy, imo.

    My total miles run this year is now up to 118. Miles are adding on pretty quickly now; this week's goal is 23 miles. I'm on my third week of climbing. I completed the last of the Level 0 bouldering climbs last week; I completed my first two level ones yesterday. For those who haven't tried it; it's pretty addictive: Even when I'm away from the gym, I'm negotiating the climbs that I haven't been able to finish yet.

    Edit: Make that total 124 miles. And man did I get some serious running farts tonight.

  5. I was doing T-bar rows this morning and I accidently let one rip. I don't know if it was audible as I had my iPod on. Didn't notice anyone giving me looks, however, so I guess I was okay.

  6. Speaking of farts, my poop is the color of my new weight gainer.

    In other none poop related news... I got up to 175 for the first time ever. Considering less than a year ago I competed in a grappling tourney... in the 139 and under division, that is pretty crazy.

    My body fat was at 13%.

    So now I cut back my diet by 1200ish calories (I'm still well over 4000/5000 on average daily) so I can try to get to around 7% body fat and bring the six pack back.

    After summer is over I'll go back to bulking like a mofo again.

    In other weight training related news, I'm working on doing a full parallel rollout with the ab wheel from standing while wearing a 25# weight vest.



    (like so... but all the way with your chest touching the ground)

  7. Life keeps getting in the way and I keep missing workouts. I find that I become very cranky and my pooping habits get disrupted when I don't go to the gym.

    Nice! I've been on it for about a month, what do you think of the program? Have you read Starting Strength yet?

  10. I'm liking it alot so far. I especially like that it's only 3x/week, which really fits my schedule. It's fun putting more weight on each time and I like how it's very simple (only a handful of basic things - do them right and you progress).

    Short-term goal: don't miss a practice for the first three months, then see where I'm at.
