  2. I want in on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I look at prices and they offer $20 introductory classes. Does that cover one class or one month? Also, what's a normal rate for beginner's classes?

Someone help me have an alternative to basketball.

No real "normal" rate, but there is no way it will be 20 bucks a month.

Figure something more like 80-200 bucks a month, depending on your location and the gym/instructors credentials.

My guess is that 20 bucks covers one class/week, or maybe if you are lucky the first month.

  4. Around here it can be around $100-$120/mo but you really get your money's worth if you attend the classes. The way I try to look at it is it breaks down to about $10/class if you go three times a week.

I think I want to pursue a BB but realize it will take me a good 10 years so it's still baby steps and more about making sure I am able to learn consistently and stay healthy.

My weight training has fallen off a bit and but I'm going to get it restarted. Life and injuries have gotten in the way from time to time in 2009 but I want to finish the second half of the year very strong.

  5. I got an answer. Cheapest is $130 and includes classes for both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. I would LOVE to have both of those at my disposal right now but $130 a month is a huge chunk of change whereas I can go to the gym for just $30 a month.

I'm going to think about it. With summer coming around and events popping up all over the place that $130 can go a long way.

I took about two weeks off and fuck is it hard to get back into the routine. Last week I only ran and went climbing twice. This week I'm hoping for four and four.

I have the same problem. I was sick for a couple weeks recently, and now I can't make myself go to the gym for any reason at all. Fucking lazy.
