In the past 45 days or so I've only been able to run 6 times. Between that stupid foot injury and being sick for hte past week, I'm completely fucked on this whole marathon business. I'm incredibly glad I did not drop the 100 bones on registration, as now I have that money to drink with at the NYC meetup.
Still, I really wanted to accomplish this. I'm not in good enough shape (or at least I dont think so) to be able to finish. So much for all that shitty training and fancy shoes. I feel like I've let my self down. I think about this race every goddamn day, and I've been telling people about it for months. But at the same time I know theres nothing I could of done about not being able to run on account of a retarded foot. Sucks.![]()

I don't know man. I was both and got sick five times last year. Before that I was on a roll. No sick for over a year and a half. I'm pretty sure I'd have dodged about the last four colds/flus/whatevers if I hadn't have pussed out and gone to the doctor on the first one. He gave me antibiotics which I hadn't taken in 15 years and imo they're what fucked me over for the next six months.
I work at three gyms, one of them with children, two of them teaching brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Being that close to people all the time, I'm pretty much screwed as far as getting little colds and what not.![]()

Life, man. You can eat healthy and be in shape but sometimes life does not allow you to get much sleep and I don't care who you are, that will leave you susceptible to shit happening.
I've reinjured my right elbow that got wrecked in an armbar last July (yes, in another armbar) and man that fucker hurt like hell once again. I can't throw a right cross like I used to and have actually been boxing southpaw as of late.
HIIT is getting easier for me. I might have to change it up a bit. I bought new clothes since I don't fit in my old ones anymore. FYI I am down to a 34 waist, but I've gained weight. I can bench 115 now and curl 80.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
