    Light day today because I overdid it yesterday. My armpits hurt.

  2. Funny story: yesterday at the gym I was workin' on the bench press with 205lb loaded up (I can do 4-5 of these) and me, in my infinite glory, did not get a spotter. On the way down for my 3rd rep I let out a big cough (didn't see that coming) and nearly killed myself with the bar. I tried to get it up, but couldnt. Luckily there was a dude standing to the side of me and he hurried over to save my life. Jesus.

    AND NOW IM SICK. FUCK.

    No reason for a light day as you shouldn't be hitting the same bodyparts the next day!

    When you getting back to bjj since you aren't crippled anymore?

  4. I might not jump right back into the jiu jitsu directly before a tour. There's a million reasons but the one that pertains to me is that I jam up my fingers alot. Not as big of an issue now that I only pretty much have been playing guitar but man, playing bass with wonky puffed up fingers?

    Also I've been to a half a dozen yoga classes now and that shit is the joint. Plus today was my 13th consecutive day training jiu jitsu. Good times

  5. So I went to the gym again today. Since yesterday I hit my biceps and quads. Today I decided to hit my chest and triceps.
    I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

    This is true, however, my armpits hurt which affected everything more than I would have expected!

  7. How old is everyone here? I've been lifting for about twelve years now, and I'm starting to get all sorts of aches and pains. I just got over a six month bout with tendinitis in both my elbows and that seems to be the least of it. Anyone else have any health issues, or advice?

  10. I should clarify I guess. I have never "lifted weights" in a traditional sense so that's not why I am in pain. My problems mostly come from injuries sustained while I was quite a bit younger along with a few more recent ones. I've been giving serious thought to a proper weight training program just to up my tissue tolerance for all that roughhouse sports shit I like.

    Also I went back to physical therapy for the first time in six weeks. Attempting to do my shit like I did it just six weeks ago made me wonder how it was even possible. Oh well I'll ramp it back up soon enough.
