Melf, you should get your hands on the Super Converter II. Unlike the Phantom-1, it allows you to play all the newer games (Metal Slug 5, SvC: Chaos, Samurai Shodown V, etc.) as well.
I remember I traded an SFC ROM copier for an AES with a few games back in the day (1991 or so). Fortunately, Software ETC and Babbages were clearancing out their AES back catalog at that time. Can't beat buying brand new View Point for $49.99.
Nowadays I use a 1st gen AES with the Super MVS Convertor (sic) II as well as a CDZ for exclusive titles.

I have never played on an AES, heck, I'm not sure I've ever even touched one.
I always loved how the system looked and was designed though, the controller is just plain sexy.

Yoshi or Neoz should probably do a Neoz style thread in remembrance of the system.
Oh, I can't do a rememberance thread huh!?
I've got a neo*geo cab in my living room!? I've got pretty much all the good NGPC games!? I've written KoF FAQs!? I've got Kyos Sun and Ioris moon tattoo'd on my body!?
Just because I have never played an AES before I'm not qualified to make a rememberance thread, I see how it is!
So do one kidnemo.
I'm sure if you totally fuck it up and it sucks and it makes everyone of us who has ever played the fantastically fabulous neo geo want to rip our clothes off and tear out our hair and wail and moan, one of the monstrous mods around here will delete it and then neozeedeater can come in and save the day and make us all whole again.
