Thread: Hajime no Ippo: Revolution(Wii)

  1. Hajime no Ippo: Revolution(Wii)

The link above shows how to control the game.

    Another trailer.

While the game does look ugly, it does look really fun.

I just want to punch the guy in the video, but I'd settle for the game, as it does look well-implemented.

  3. I like Ippo (Victorious Boxer) series. I might even get this if it gets a US release.

  4. I'm interested if it controls better than Wii Sports Boxing. Having the motion controls actually sense motion will make this fun.

I'm in this camp, but from the control video it doesn't look any better.

There are no rules, only consequences.

The main problem though with the Wii Sports boxing was the it didn't always register your movements, if this game can do it better it would be awesome.

  7. It looks like this game has a wider range of motions and better sensing than Wii Boxing, though to what extent it's hard to tell. They really need a direct controller to screen control boxing game. I also think they need to allow a Wiimote to substitute for the nunchuck, as that cord gets annoying if you're moving fast.

This looks pretty good, certainly better than anything else I've seen for the system besides Mario Galaxy. It'll be nice to turn my Wii on again some day.

  8. I may buy a Wii just for this game. The games that have come to the PS2 are the best boxing games I have ever played and those are true to the series.

All the videos I have seen show pretty good response to movement. The aspect I really like is that you have to execute a certain character's move just like they do in the anime. That is a plus in my book.

  9. Why does this look worse than Ready2Rumble for Dreamcast?

  10. What they need to show is the video of ingame footage and a split screen of someone using the wiimote and nunchuk to show us how the controlling is.
