Ok, seen it. It was pretty neat, until last 10 mins or so. Very brutal vampires, awesome gore, classy cinematography and loads of style.
Then at the end it decides to copy Blade 2 ending lol. And few more plot holes that were there brought down my enjoyment sadly
the big " I turn into vamp to fight the baddie showdown, was kinda dumb, and so was what happened after the fight. Yeah, all of the vamps just decided to go home, right?
Also, if the wife was so in danger of fire, wtf she was just hanging around there throughout of the fight, yet none of vamps even cared to go after her
And the great factory was perfectly fine running by itself for last 30 days lol
If they haven't changed the ending from the comics, then fuck this movie. What a great premise ruined by a total bullshit "oh fuck I've put my characters in an impossible situation and have no idea how to get them out. I know! Let's just go completely against the cannon we've already established and common fucking sense so this shit can be over in 5 issues/an hour and a half!" ending.
The vampires should have won. It's so fucking obvious.

Besides the so so ending the movie was pretty great overall. The gore was very realistic. Best gore in a movie in a while IMO. Would have been cool if we found out more about the vamps though.

I thought the movie was great overall also. Outstanding atmosphere, outstanding directing, outstanding brutality, and a meh ending.
My take on the ending:
I didn't have a problem with the whole him becoming a vampire bullshit, I could care less because it led to that awesome hand through the head ending for the fight. My problem was if the kid and Stella were just chilling near the truck the whole time during the fight, THEY WEREN'T GOING TO DIE IF THEY STAYED WHERE THEY WERE FOR 20 MIN. Thus no reason for that bullshit turn into a vamp non sense.

Absolutely how I felt. Marvelous setup, especially with the human coming into town early to get things ready, but it slowly fell apart after that, finishing with a swandive into the ridiculous ending.
Other than that, there just wasn't enough uniqueness to separate the vampires from 28 Days-style zombies. Bite the victim, they become one, and chop off the head to kill em. No classic crosses, silver, fire, or impalement. They looked and sounded cool, but they weren't memorable beyond that.
I wanted more exploration into the vamps themselves as well. None of em even talked besides the leader.
It's hard to imagine vampires that stupid surviving for so long. The vampires should have won. It's so fucking obvious.

all of the vamps looked like goth fags. Brutal and ugly though lol
Most of the scenes and cinematography was good, but in places our favorite shaky cam was fucking things up, just like it was in 28 weeks.![]()
I'm beginning to think the shaky cam is a "technique" used by hack directors to hide their poor skills. You literally cannot see what is happening...probably on purpose.

I didnt find the shaky cam that horrible in this.
Why can't more movie slow this shit down? I was amazed 300 got it right. Shit, they even slowed the badass parts down.

As somebody who has a hard-on for directing, I could pretty much tell what was going on throughout this entire movie and don't even remember that much shaky cam.
This movie was badass, maybe an inconsistency here or there but it was well directed and well written (with the exception of one or two parts, but fuck it).
