Amnesia was a convenient way for Raimi and the gang to shoe-horn Venom in. It was ridiculous. But Harry was ok. The first two movies built up to it and the payoff sucked. It needed a little more time in the oven, which is again why Venom shouldn't have been in the movie. And if Venom was NEEDED in the movie then keep Sandman away. Venom seems like a better theme after the death of Harry took place, though. Since all of the blatant drug referencing would be there, and ol' Pete would have been at a pretty low point in his life.

Checking out my old post on the first page, I still think this would work well:
Kraven and the Lizard are both badasses who can individually give Spider-man a run for his money, even if they can't carry a movie themselves. And I'm all for more Gwen, she was a knock-out thanks to the actress who played her, the name escapes me at the moment though.
Future villains who could work .... Electro is the only guy I can think of, and even then in a short-term role. He can't carry a movie at all. Definite no to guys like the Vulture, Hydro Man, and so on. I wish Mysterio could translate, but he can't.
So other than the return of Venom later, I'm not sure what can be done for a Spider-man 6. Maybe if there was a Spider-man: Wanted Dead or Alive movie, where a bunch of characters tried to bring him down for a reward or something, but that doesn't make a great deal of sense as a feature film.

It seems like Spider Man 4 and 5 is going full steam ahead.
Over the Holiday weekend, Kellvin got a tip from a trusted source as to whom may be the next Peter Parker/Spider Man in the upcoming films. Because my batting average has been pretty good lately, Kelvin and I decided to sit on it until Hollywood went back to work today and I can get more concrete info. This morning, I made some calls to my guys, fished around and here is what I managed to find out.
Laura Ziskin and Grant Curtis are tossing names around. NO OFFERS HAVE BEEN YET. That being said, the name at the top of their list to replace Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spiderman is…
…PATRICK FUGIT.
You may recognize Patrick from SPUN, WRISTCUTTERS and his breakout performance in ALMOST FAMOUS.
My personal thoughts? Fugit looks like Peter Parker to me.
I also managed to find out that if Fugit doesn’t work out, the Spiderman producers ARE EVEN WILLING TO GO YOUNGER.

Michael actually played a superhero in SKY HIGH and was most recently seen FORBIDDEN KINGDOM. Michael even auditioned for the postponed Justice League film.
You know that Fugit and Angarano played the same character in ALMOST FAMOUS? Angarano played the younger version of William in ALMOST FAMOUS while Fugit played the older version.
So what do guys think?

I like the ol' walking oven mitt. I'd really like to see him show up in a Spidey movie.
I think a nice cameo in the start where he's robbing a bank and Spidey shows up and kicks his ass after a short battle.
