Thread: The Amazing Spider-Man

  2. No, he's not asking for 6 months off...they're saying the back-to-back sequels will take 6 months to shoot, and he wants time during those 6 months to spend time with his kid.

It's funny, the article is making fun of him for wanting this, and all the guy's trying to do is be a stand-up dad. I say if Sony's willing to give him and time and the (wtf) 50 mil, more power to him.

As for filming the sequels back-to-back, that's what they should have done with the alien costume/Venom storyline, dammit.

That's $25 million per movie. It is pretty high, but actors have been paid that or close to that for worse roles/movies.

That 25 million was his salary for Spiderman 3, so he's not getting a huge raise, unlike the 4 mil he got for the first movie, and 18 mil for the second one

The fourth film in the blockbuster "Spider-Man" franchise will begin shooting in 2010, actor J.K. Simmons told MTV News at Sundance, revealing that he'll continue in the role of Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson. "I saw Sam [Raimi] at his Christmas party."

The fourth installment is expected to hit theaters in May of 2011. In October of '08, it was announced that playwright David Lindsay-Abaire (upcoming Inkheart) would write the script. James Vanderbilt wrote an earlier draft.
