    and how long was Transformers in production for (almost 2 years, Spiderman 3 was almost 3)? plus we don't yet know for sure how much screentime they get. the trailers are plastered with them but have so far shown the same couple of scenes over and over.

    although the argument can also be made that Spiderman 3 had a budget 100+ million dollars over TF's but that's what you get when you pay live actors and they still had very limited CG use.

  2. I dont know man. Deep Space Nine was doing shape shifting every other week for awhile there, it's just a matter of making it look better than that did, and it's been nearly a decade since that show went off the air.

    I don't think it would be that difficult to make Carnage and Venom. Most of the time they would just be normal looking characters anyway. Ok, Carnage not so much. But if they can get Doc Ocks tentacles to look normal, they can get Carnage and Venom.

  4. I saw Spidey 3 for the third time last night and I still think it was a great movie. Having both Sandman and Venom in it hurt the development of both characters (it should have just been Venom), but I'm still amazed that Rami managed to juggle so much content and not have the end result be a jumbled mess ala that shitbomb Batman And Robin.

    I have a hard time ranking the movies in the series, but it might just be 3 > 1 > 2. The only reason I put 2 last is because I've always thought Doc Ock was a really, really gay character, despite the good job Rami did bringing him to the screen and making him a cool bad guy. All of the movies are great, however.

  8. I like the idea of the Lizard and Kraven the Hunter.

    Doc Connors becomes the Lizard, Peter tries to help him but can't, and then Kraven the Hunter decides to hunt down what is perceived to be the most dangerous beast alive. Spider-man gets in his way, causing him to fail, and captures the Lizard himself. Kraven then decides to then hunt the Spider-man and discovers Peter's identity in the process. Maybe throw in Puma as an earlier prey of Kraven, to see him in action (Peter watches the hunt on commercially-sold DVDs of Kraven's exploits).

    Also, the increased inclusion of Doc Conners allows Gwen Stacy to stay in the story, as she's also a student in the class. I'd keep Capt. Stacy alive until Spider-man 5, probably bringing back a pissed off and more experienced Venom. Gwen Stacy hates Spider-man afterwards until she discovers his secret identity in Spider-man 6, and either she lives or dies afterwards.

    Not sure what to do with Mary Jane though, although I'd love for a final battle where she wasn't a screaming damsel in distress: that's three movies we've seen that, now. Actually, now that I think about it, she could purposefully infiltrate Kraven's show/hunt to find out information about the Lizard and Kraven for Peter. Maybe Kraven falls for her and learns he is duped when he sees MJ kissing Peter/Spider-man, only fueling his anger towards Spider-man.

  10. I think it might be interesting to keep her alive (just a bit longer).
