Thread: The Amazing Spider-Man

  1. The Mary Jane thing is what bothered you in 3?
    Check out Mr. Businessman
He bought some wild, wild life
On the way to the stock exchange
He got some wild, wild life

  2. It was really bad.

The Venom church scene was really well handled if nothing else. Copy-paste that into a better Spider-Man flick.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with Sony keeping the rights or Tobey being 50 years old and not wanting to do another movie/being a silly choice for one. It was all about fixing Spiderman 3, which would have been a great movie had we had a prequel movie about Harry's love for pie. It's crazy, but you're right. Every problem with Spider-Man 3 can be attributed to not having enough backstory, and not how it amatuerly handled its present story.

Harry's love of pie was easily the best part of that movie.

Actually, no Tobey went on record saying he would have done another, if Raimi was on board. Raimi was dropped because of 3. The movie rights came up in in pre-production. The movie was already in planning stages before it was a big deal.

  7. Not angry, sarcastic.
I wonder why I thought he didn't want to do it, must have been my imagination.

That same figment of my imagination also states that Raimi was dropped because he wanted a $300 million budget, and those tightwads at Sony would only pony up $230 million. Sony was more than willing to stick with Raimi, but he wouldn't play ball with their demands.
