Ultimates starts from zero. It's self contained. Volume 1 is the best Avengers movie there will ever be. Best Captain America, best Hulk, best Iron Man. 100%.
Read the first series and the second series and never touch the line ever again. The Hitch and Millar ones. Ultimates 3-onward is the most embarassing sub-1991-Image shit on the planet.
