I just poked my head over into a Transformers forum (a dangerous thing indeed) and noticed DX9 was making a masterpiece style Rodimus Prime that isn't a total piece of shit like the one we actually got. It's starting to ship now.
He was one of my first TF's, I got the itch for a nice MP style Rodimus but being third party it's expensive as fuck. Someone else's pic with some of the more recent bots:

man, that is just amazing.
Heman got where it got because of how much better they looked compared to everything else at the time. They also had more heft and felt good in little kid hands.
