The "Challenge" levels in C4 are fantastic. It's nice to have little gameplay-modified goals to run through, and it looks like you can fight the bosses from the main game at will as you clear 'em.
Just unlocked Super C, too. <3
Eh, well I bought Border Down LE when it was new so that makes up for it.

The return of Super C's Level 2 weapons rocks, especially the machine gun.
WFT did a great job, and the difficulty is just fine- with more challenge than the cakewalk arcade versions' default settings. Neo Contra and Shattered Soldiers can just get out. Here, Normal will kick your ass in the first stage for a little while- and the first boss has a cool surprise waiting for you. You're not going to just blaze through.
Should Konami port C4 to the Wii/XBLA/something, I'd buy it again.
The "dead zone" doesn't really cause any problems. Good thing there's no stylus fuckery of any sort in Contra 4.
Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
Possible, I haven't given my copy a spin yet but all I've heard since the arcade release is mediocre impressions. Regardless of quality the game was never going to move 100,000 units.
I bought Senko too at $10. Would be playing it still if VF5 didn't come out and take over my time.![]()
Yeah, he needs to take out Contra and add RBI Baseball.![]()
God damn it.
