I demand that Konami make a GBA cart expansion for this game with nothing but challenge missions. There's so much that can be done with speed runs alone...
I want to be forced through the Harvest Yard with a truely useless and bizzare weapon.
I want sadistic combinations of mutt hunts and low ammo at the same time.
I want bad-guy blitzes with 3 of those level one monorail mid-bosses on screen at once.
Make it happen Komani. That GBA cart port is being wasted.

I have 5 challenges left. I find myself playing them much more than the regular game. After beating it on easy and unlocking the challenges I've only played like 3 times on normal mode. After the challenges I will rape the rest of this game.
Contra 4's challenge mode is the best thing on a portable system.

Tried Hard mode the other day and cant even get past level 2. Also didnt know that Hard mode had sweet classic remix music.

24 Challenges Down and I got through Normal Mode... Hard mode is sick though.
You sir, are a hideous hermaphroditical character which has neither the force and firmness of a man, nor the gentleness and sensibility of a woman.
So has anyone beaten this on Hard yet? I got through all 40 challenge missions about a week ago. I beat Normal mode on Christmas day with 12 guys left and without continuing but Hard mode is fucking crazy.
I love the music in Hard. The first time I tried it, I thought it was the regular Stage 1 music running at double speed.

36/40 challenges done. Haven't even played the game in Normal and Hard yet, but I will once I complete the challenges.
Protip: The bonus characters have three alternate color schems (similar to how there are three different palette swaps for the main character). Press up twice, press down twice, or press X twice (Jimbo & Sully only have one alt. scheme, press up twice).
