Contra 4!

Finally finished the challenges, although I cheated on Speed Run 6 and looked at a video guide because I couldn't figure out how to propel to the top of the rocket in time. I also made my run in Low Ammo 2 too difficult because I assumed that you also had to fight the Stage 1 boss on limited ammo. I did figure out that you can jump over the prone snipers, but it has to be a pixel-perfect jump.

Time to beat the game in Normal and Hard.

That's cool. You should be able to breeze through the game on normal. I haven't played it on hard again since I got my ass kicked the last time but I do fully intend to beat that game on hard mode. After beating Contra III on hard mode years ago I just have to do it on Contra 4 now.

Speaking of which, as soon as I was done owning it on normal I downloaded Contra III on the Wii VC just to get my Contra fix.

It's been so long since I played that game that it almost feels new.

I love Contra 3. Top 5 SNES game for me.

Got this for Christmas. Never before has a game pointed out how much I suck at videogames.

Yeah I agree. Beating Contra III on hard and getting the extra fight out of the final boss is one of my fondest gaming moments. I typically wouldn't spoiler tag a game from the 90s but it's fucking Contra.

The brain is cased in metal. Then he chases after your helicopter with tentacle like arms. Its a really easy fight. Then you get some half-assed ending sequence. No need for spoilers.
