CHUD has posted an interesting article about how veteran actress Gena Rowlands mentioned that her son, Nick Cassevettes, is thinking about directing Captain America for Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures. Cassevettes (The Notebook) was previously attached to helm Iron Man before Jon Favreau took over.

We'll have to wait and see how this plays out...

'Butcher' sent us this rumor, of probably many more to come, about Marvel's Captain America movie. Take it with a big grain of salt for now...

HotDog magazine in the U.K, the issue on stands now, has an update on who might be the frontrunner for Captain America. They say Val Kilmer is the current favourite, commenting on his comeback of sorts in films like Wonderland and Alexander. This would be the second time Val has played a superhero right?

  4. Wut.

Don't get me wrong, I have a great appreciation for the guy's movies (Heat and Tombstone are infinitely good), but,

  5. Last movie I saw Val in was Deja Vu with Denzel Washington. Val looked very old (he's now 48) and very, very fat.

Maybe he would have been a good choice for Cap 10 years ago, but now? FUCK NO.

  6. Kilmer is a chameleon. he has changed looks so many times. I think he could do it. But I think he's too old for the part.

  7. Maybe he could get into shape. Maybe. But they want this to be another franchise. At his age he's not bankable for the long run. He's just too fucking old.

    And too fat.

  8. It looks like he has a prosthetic fat suit on. Like Steve Carrell in Get Smart. Why is his face all rubbery looking?
