I think the hate here is a little too thick. This idea isn't that bad as long as it's a good action RPG like Super Mario RPG and Superstar Saga.

At first I was all "WTF? Every time Sega tries to ape something Nintendo did first we wound up with Sonic Drift or Sonic Shuffle." But who knows. Maybe it'll suck maybe it won't. We'll see.

DS is ruining nothing. Sony came out with an expensive product, Nintendo came out with an inexpensive one, and it turns out the portable market prefers things cheap.
