How are home consoles "up in the air"?
Hey, guys. The only thing wrong with handheld games is that historically 90% of the time developers haven't put very much effort into them because they're cheap and on inferior hardware. Now that the DS has such a huge user base, the hardware is capable, and the home consoles are expensive and kind of up in the air at this point, I think that's starting to slowly change.
The DS is a great system for RPGs, Bioware is Bioware, and I find it hard to believe that most people at this forum don't have a soft spot for Sonic somewhere in their hearts still. It could work!

I wasn't asking if people whould buy it or not, I was asking if he thought it would or wouldn't be better than a handheld game. Which is the whole point, these games gain nothing from being on a handheld, instead of a console.
This is still true.
No, it's really not.Now that the DS has such a huge user base, the hardware is capable, and the home consoles are expensive and kind of up in the air at this point, I think that's starting to slowly change.
If the DS can't run Oblivion, FFXII, or KotOR, it isn't a great system for RPGs. The DS is good for Phoenix Wright and Hotel Dusk and stuff like that. That's about it.
But Yoshi, the DS will be getting a form of FFXII.
