    Point and click adventure game, in the LucasArts tradition (the staff are ex-LucasArts refugees). The screen I posted was from a scene where The Internet tries to destroy the world and the graphics go out, leaving you with just a text adventure. It's a hilarious sequence.

    They're not really chapters of a "whole" game like other episodic games. Each one is a standalone game with its own story, about 2-3 hours long. Like an episode of a TV show. There are callbacks in later episodes to earlier ones and a vague sort of story arc across all 6, but they're pretty self-contained for the most part.

    So, yeah, all 6 games are on the disc if you pop it in your PC, and if you play it in a DVD player you get DVD-style bonus features.

    Long story short: It's a fuckload of really good adventure game and more extras than you need for not a lot of money.

    Telltale is fucking awesome. My copy of Surfin' the Highway is absolutely trashed. I mean, still readable, but it's taken over a decade of abuse and I've wanted a new one for god knows how long. Also great: they have the S&M sketchbook in their online store currently. Ordered mine last night.

    They were selling signed Steve Purcell prints a few months back, too. It makes me happy to see someone appreciate Sam & Max after Lucasarts pretty much just shit all over everything that wasn't Star Wars.

    ...maybe I should finally play the new games now.

    I don't think I'll be able to play this on my computer, as my DVD drive no longer works, but I think I'll buy this.

    If you buy it, you'll still be able to download the eps from Telltale's site, and watch the extras in a standard DVD player on your TV.
