Thread: Sam and Max episodes DVD set released

  1. Gametap needs to be off Telltale's PR team, really. That's the problem. They let GameTap do most of the marketing and they did everything they could to cover up the fact that Telltale had a really nice deal.

Yeah. I was completely unaware of Telltale's have-your-disc-and-download-it-too system. It really is the best of both online distribution (you get the stuff now) and brick-and-mortar distribution (you get a nice copy for your shelf).

Try the demo, people. If you like the game and want to buy it, there is absolutely nothing to complain about with regards to how you can purchase and play it.

  3. It'll be interesting to see how Jowood's retail release stacks up to Telltale's disc release. I'm told they're not going to be the same. I suspect Jowood's will probably be CD-ROM based, but who knows.

  4. I was waiting for this.

    Oops, sorry.

EDIT: Seriously though, I do the same thing with most TV shows so in the end it's kind of a compliment.

If you buy it, you'll still be able to download the eps from Telltale's site, and watch the extras in a standard DVD player on your TV.
I would've done this a long time ago, but I have both dial-up and the shittiest computer ever. =/ I just want to support these guys so they'll do more cool shit like this.

...will there be punch and pie?

  9. And afterwards we'll play fizzball.

  10. You realize that by doing this we could be grounded for two, perhaps even three weeks.
