Thread: Sega Rally

    Sega Rally kicks ass.

The first game is one of my favorite Saturn games and definitely made up for the rushed job they did with the Daytona port.

I could have sworn I saw the AM2 logo, during the bootup screen. And the game has 4 tracks. If you finish the 3rd track, you'll be given the Winter Lake track. The track is incredibly hard. This is the best playing Rally game ever. People can talk about Colin McRay and other Rally games, but this one is just dead on, when it comes to how the car handles on the track. I can't see anyone creating a better physic's model of a Rally racer, than the one on Sega Rally 95.

i think you should play the games again, cause no once will you see any AM3 or Hitmaker logo's on any of the games.

i know that UGA (formerly AM6 i think) handeld the Dreamcast port of Sega Rally 2, but that's the only time that AM2 didn't work on the game.
i'd bet my life on this if it wasn't for the fact that when i booted up the Saturn version right now to double check, the AM2 logo wasn't popping up, just a Sega Sports logo.
still, im pretty sure that AM2 made this game.

too stiff? if anything i would say the control was loose. maybe you couldn't get the the car to control the way you wanted to because....well, maybe you just suck at racing games.

I don't know about the home versions but Sega Rally 1 was made by AM3 and Sega Rally 2 was made by UGA.

It is possible that AM3, and UGA are one in the same. When Sega split up the devisions as a seperate entity, many of them became new names. Is'nt Naka's "Sonic Team" now called Smilebit?

Colin looks like an amazing game, graphicaly that is, not sure on gameplay as I have never played a Colin game before. But Sega Rally is one racing game I could not get into.
The Colin games are damn fine rally games. Some of the best, next to Sega Rally and RalliSport. Colin 3 looks amazing as well. Oh yeah, congrats to Colin McRae on winning Acropolis Rally today! Woohoo

    AM3 became Hitmaker.

Mizuguchi left AM3 after Sega Rally to form AM Annex(AKA AM9). AM9 became United Game Artists.

You know, the more time I spend with Rallisport, the more I think it might be better than SR. It seems to just have a better "feel", and the cars don't turn like they're on a pivot. And of course graphically, I'm not sure how SR3 can top RSC.

the game looks nice and all, but that shouldn't be a problem in the slightest.

Nor will you ever see AM2's logo in SR.

Why do you always have to insult anyone who doesn't agree with you? Damn.
