Please don't pay $30 for either FF1 or FF2 alone again. The PSP ports are the best versions yet (and I'd kill to see the 16 bit FFs like this, fuck 3D DS remakes), but it's still robbery.
I enjoyed Final Fantasy II more than Final Fantasy I.
I still haven't picked up Etrian Odyssey or Crush yet. I don't think there's enough hours in the day to play it all.

Oooh, this game is fun. Just as addictive as I was led to believe.
I've just beaten the first floor's boss, but my LV1 rating still sucks. So I won't be going down to LV2 until I've beefed up LV1 considerably -- adding more twisty and spiraling hallways, as well as upgrading the floorboards, and adding treasure, storage, and guest rooms. The game is very good at gradually spoonfeeding the player new items/magic/quests/room styles/enemy types/etc. This makes it extremely difficult to put the game down, as you're always right around the corner from something new.
The market and armor girl are really cute as well.

wiiieeerd. I was playing Phoenix Wright today (finally got back to it, Case 5 up in here) and, creepily enough, I was thinking that this is pretty much the definition of a Compass game.PW is so great, too. Best localization I can recall. I've laughed out loud so many times. And yelling "Hold It!" and "Objection!" refuses to get old.
Ah, I'm honored.
