Thread: Cloverfield

  1. I could believe it to a point. I think where most people would have said, "fuck her I'm out" is seeing her building leaning against the other one.

  2. Nah, you read about this in war all the time. Guys going into obvious death to rescue a friend. It's totally possible.

A lot of people are chumps, too.

  4. Now wait a minute. Are we talking about a weekend fuck buddy or a serious relationship? If it's the former, she's totally fucked.

  5. As for the cell phone battery, aren't they common at rest stops as fully charged temporary batteries if you need them in some emergency? Use it then dump it.

As for Slusho Someone explained to me that the ingredient used in Slusho was found in the deep sea, and acts as a strong narcotic. Apparently the nectar is eggs or some sort of vital fluid in this thing's reproductive cycle. The thing goes apeshit, bringing down the drilling facility that tapped into it and follows the scent of the nectar to Manhattan, where the CEO of that Japanese company had been recently.

The satellite, I don't know, but apparently those spider/lice things on the monster aren't its offspring at all, but some form of "space lice"

I dunno, I just saw the movie and I like it. I don't know where most of this backstory is coming from

  6. That kinda sorta makes sense, except the smell part involving the CEO. I would rather think the tanker was full of eggs, and it in a pissed off rage it just kept going after it destroyed the ship.

  7. The lice are absolutely some kind of parasite. They're arachnid, for one, with a different number of eyes and a distinct 'maw'. The main critter has a 'mouser' face and two eyes.

  8. For sure.

  9. Plus it scratches it's back on a building when the zerglings are introduced. Some sort of symbiotic relationship, kinda like how some sharks have with other fish.

  10. Ramones are the name of the fish, and spot on comment Rumpy!
