Target cannot just drop the price on a system. System prices are mandated by Sony. All a store can do is throw in stuff for free, etc. This is clearly not one of those times.

No, any store can sell the systems for whatever they want. The reason they don't is because the actual unit costs on the systems are so close to the MSRP. If Target wanted to take a $100 loss on every system they sold then they could.Originally Posted by Joust Williams
