Stating a fact in simple terms does not make Melf a racist. Stop being a colossal douche with your bullshit race card.
If I phrased it, "Aren't we seeing those Blacks tearing at eachother's throats in Darfur?" Everyone would instantly say it's racist, but say Arab and suddenly well it's just objective reporting. Give me a fucking break. If anyone's being the douche here, it's you Spo.
Time for a change
Uhh, because you just say 'Arabs are tearing at eachother' making it sound like a pack of wild dogs fighting over scraps. If you're even going to bring it up, show you have some understanding of the situation. You all keep hiding behind the sphere79-esque explanation, "Well it's true ain't it?" Sure on it's face it is factually correct, but you're showing your ass when you phrase it in such black / white simplistic terminology.
Time for a change
Saying "Aren't we seeing Africans tearing at each other's throats in Darfur?" would not be racist. The "those blacks" thing is bullshit because that's not at all close to how Melf referred to the race he was talking about. You see everything in racial terms because it's a cheap and easy way to claim the moral high ground.
g0zen's playing of the race card in this thread is everything I hate about the left (and I'm very liberal. So is Melf for that matter.)
What if the conversation was related to how Africans were hated by the president.
Then a line such as "look at all those Africans ripping out each others throats in Nigeria" would merely be re-refrencing the point that, it is indeed, the people of the subject matter being discussed, ripping out each others throats.
If you implication that it is not mostly Arabs killing each other in Gaza (I have no idea about that area), well then, i politely bow out of the conversation.
Edit:Nvm, gozen explained his position.

You've got to be kidding me. Seriously, if this is your argument, then I'll stop, because you're about to fall over from reaching so far. Saying that my and Spo's comment are racist is as far a reach as anyone thinking that Betty Williams actually meant that she wanted to physically kill Bush. You're stretching a specific comment into a sweeping generalization and you know it.
Not liking the way I worded it does nothing to disprove what I said. Or is it the Bulgarians and Chinese fighting for power in Gaza?
Actually, I'm quite moderate.
