Players can not feel that bullet ripping through their leg?

Videogames can not give off nearly as much feedback as what they are trying to emulate (especially outside visual feedback), so abstractions and shortcuts like a HUD giving you an idea of your present condition are necessary.

My point was that having a heads up display in a game that's supposed to take place in 1942 breaks the illusion of the setting. It makes sense to have one in halo or Ghost recon, but when you're making a game based on set history that had nothing of the sort, it's kind of impossible.

Why do all of those shots like they used a paintbrush filter?

When the first game was so average, I'm having a hard time believing this will really be GOTY or anything other than just another shooter. I'd love to be wrong, but I don't plan on holding my breath.

I agree with Frog that this game doesn't look as good as Gears of War. It still looks good, though.

The only people who give a shit about this franchise are Sony fanboys. They would have been better off starting fresh with something new.

I am not a sony fanboy, but I think the video and these pics look good. I have reservations about the gameplay though b/c the original was horrible to put it mildly.

Considering that all the bacgkrounds are painted, and these are obviously concept shots, it had better look good.
