Stardust is getting an update today improving the graphics engine, adding PS store ability in game, and adding a custom soundtrack feature, on top of more stat tracking like how long the player was playing to get their leaderboard scores, ect.

Awesome, gives me an incentive to get back into the game.
Well I guess so, but the point I was making was that it doesn't save any local scores either - at least not without being connected.
I was at the gf's to play this, tried a few rounds, and when my games were up I couldn't save any scores because it wasn't connected. To me, that's irritating that it doesn't even save scores just for the machine itself as any normal console game would.
I'll have to ask her how this update process works, maybe they've changed it now.
I've seen other games do that no-local-leaderboard bullshit. Rock Band, for one.
I just downloaded the updated version of this, BTW. It still takes FAR too long to play one game. With a few tweaks, it could be so awesome.
Solo add-On Pack for SSHD just came out with the new playstation store. For those skeptical like i was, its worth it.
The update adds retro sound track, and 1 new planet paint job.
What the update adds thats really worth the bang for the buck is brand new modes.
Endless - Play with endless waves
Survival - Survive as long as you can in an endless shoer of indestructable space probes
Bomber - equipped with only bombs try and score as much as you can
Time attack - play a planet as fast as you can.
In just 10 minutes of endless mode you see how much they upped the ante with the game. They added a TON of new enemies. My favorite so far is this pyramid space ship, that when taken out explodes in a huge wave, wiping out any and everything on the planet.

Endless Mode makes the game worth playing. I have to tear myself away from it after extended sessions.
It's still bullshit that you can't save scores without being online.
