I'll be honest, that's a sensitive issue for me. I don't believe we are causing it, but I am concerned for the environmental effects in general, especially any species that may be lost. However, extinction can be a natural occurrence as well, unfortunately.

I think it's a shame that "omg global warmings" has replaced talking about straight-up pollution in political discourse, personally. There's too many lakes and rivers in this country that you can pretty much walk across the top of anymore, for the amount of crap dumped in 'em. "GW" issues are distracting attention from this. Clean air and water are fairly important.
