    Well, Guilliani is a social liberal. Guilliani took NYC (a place nobody went if they could possibly avoid it) and turned it into one of the safest big cities in the country. Guilliani almost single-handedly took down the New York mafia, first as a federal prosecutor and then as Mayor. Guilliani showed great leadership and capability in getting the city back on it's feet after 9/11.

    Ron Paul is a card-carrying member of the religious right (he doesn't even believe in the separation of church and state) that happens to hate Bush and the war in Iraq. He's done a great job convincing kids that think he's a libertarian 9/11 truther; I suppose that's an accomplishment.

    Giuliani quit the search for dead firefighters after 9/11 because they found the gold and money he was looking for. The dead bodies were dumped off to China with the rest of the garbage to be destroyed. This also opens the question on why he was so quick to ship off the evidence of the largest attack in the country's history, but that's a debate for a tinfoil hat thread. [2]

    After the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, Giuliani still insisted on keeping his Office of Emergency Response in the WTC. This was found to be stupid as fucking hell once 9/11 happened and nothing could be done about it due to the location. Even worse, the gallons of diesel fuel stored in 7WTC to run his response headquarters set the building on fire when the attacks happened. Colossally dumb leadership. [3] BTW, Giuliani blamed the poor location on his Director of Emergency Management instead of being a man and taking the blame himself. That Director ended up showing documentation of him recommending the location be built elsewhere, only to have Giuliani insist it was at WTC. So he's a poor decision maker, and when he's wrong, he inaccurately blames it on others. What a champ. [4]

    There's also everyone's favorite video of Ron Paul debating with Rudy Giuliani at the first Republican debates on Iraq and the cause of 9/11.



    Ignoring Giuliani moronically talking about "living through the attacks of 9/11" as if no one else was alive at the time, Paul is right. The 9/11 Commission Report names empire-building blowback as a possible cause of 9/11. Either Giuliani never read the 9/11 Report, or he's pathetically parroting the nationalistic bullshit being fed to everyone by the neocons. What a leader.

    If Giuliani is right, though, and we were attacked on 9/11 because "they hate our freedoms," he's done a really good fucking job of suggesting that we lose those freedoms. Maybe then they won't hate us so much.

    This is the main thing with Giuliani. He's got nothing else.

  9. I fall right onto Dennis Kucininch on that charty thing. I figure that the next best candidate to him is Ron Paul... so he gets my vote when he runs as independent. Take what I can get.

    Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are nothing alike on 90% of their views.
