  1. Behind Enemy Lines - One of the worst films I ever seen

Well, I posted it in another thread, but then decided that it needs its own, so we can share our thoughts about the subject. So here they are, some of my thoughts about this wonderful Hollywood production

Well, Well. Behind the Enemy lines - Another pathetic excuse for a movie.

I wanted to see it. It looked very good in the trailer, and my friend said that it was good and he liked it. So finally came the day, when it hit the video, and I was there to rent it.

It started well, and the part with missile dodging was great both in excitment, and visual fx ways. Great cgi fx there. But once they hit the ground, it started to become aweful Its pretty much run Owen Wilson Run, and so he does for the next hour till the end. And while he is running, they shoot everything, starting from small hand guns and ending with tanks at him, but you know that you cant hit the hero, even if he is the only frikin moving thing in 500 feet in the open field. Not even mines can do the trick, when he runs IN THE MIDDLE of MINE field, miraculosly avoiding every one of them, while they explode mere few feet around him !!!

And that brings to to glorius conclusion and display of such ridiculos patriotism I never seen before. Imagine the open field with enemy tanks, some mobile artilery, multiple ground units all with heawy weaponry on one side, and 3 US helicopters on the other. In the middle our hero, Owen Wilson, running to the other side of the field, wich is about mile long ! Now, Enemies are firing everything they got, but can hit either one of helicopters, or our hero running on the empty, open field right in the middle of huge gun battle, not even trying to dodge bullets, running in STRAIGHT line !! As the battle continues, heroic US helicopters pretty much destroy almost all the opponent forces, and none of them even damaged. Can you believe this SHIT? I understand that hero side never looses, but that just RIDICULOS !!!

And ofcourse the save the guy, and they fly away happily into the sunset.

What a piece of shit !

Well it wasn't that bad, Owen Wilson is a good actor and the hiding under dead bodies was cool.

  3. Well, I have nothing against Owen Willson, he is a good actor. But the movie WAS a piece of SHIT.

  4. I enjoyed the movie for it's special effects. On a side note, the film was directed by the same guy who did the Sega commercial with the chick stealing the DC.

I enojoyed the movie because it was nicely photography, co-ordinated and produced. Excellent special effect, nice camera work, good DVD audio and some interesting directorial stuff going on. Yes, the plot was uninspired somewhat but I don't see anything that sets it apart from previous war/survival films. Not enough to make me hate it so much that I have to comment upon it in a one thread and then construct an entirely seperate thread beat the dead horse to glue.

Sounds to me like someone feels a little too compelled to pad their post count...

  6. Not really. I could pad my post count anyway I wanted It never stoped me before.

But here I just wanted to talk about this film. Yes, I did commented on it other thread, but by making into the new thread does increases the chances of the post to be seen by more people.

Yes, Visually and sound wise the film is good. And good work bu fx team, but thats it. And yes there were plenty of other war/survival films before, but not many actually were on this level of stupidity.

If you did like the film, good for you, but for me it was bad, and I cant change it.

  7. Did anybody else notice the fact that the dude that helps Owen is the russian version of Jay?
    your mom

  8. Actually he was Yugoslavian version of Jay
