    Anyone watching this? I'm torrenting it each week as my backwards country's TV isn't worth shit.

    Anyway, it's about a folk duo from New Zealand who move to New York to make it big - and it's fucking funny.

    The stand-up is better.

    Still a fun show to watch, but I don't see it becoming very popular or lasting longer than a season.

    This show is awesome. The writing is awkward and weird and both characters are awkward and weird. I don't think I can recall a show like this on TV before. The musical numbers at odd points in the show really add a lot to the zaniness factor of the show.

    I watched it by chance after Entourage.

    I have been shaving some money off the top and puting it towards future investmens. So I collected enough and I would like to announce .. we all own. A star.

    Yeah it was probably mainly because you dated her for 6 months. But mainly I think it was probably because of the whole light thing.

    Lookup their live show on youtube. The delivery kills any of the songs as they are on the show.

    But I mist say, the crazy fan-girl is an A+++ character.

    Lies. I like the stand up, but it's got nothing on the show. The editing on the show is absolutely perfect and it adds a ton to the flow of the bits.

    Conchords is good times. Also look at the 6 episode radio drama they did for the BBC (I torrented it from Demonoid). Basically a prototype for the TV show and Murray's character is more fleshed out and has a different name as well. The first time I saw these guys was when they did a documentary on their trip to SXSW last year which was hilarious. Definitely look those up.

    Not a fan of the show, love the stand up and songs, though.

    Lazy writing, IMO. It's a poor version of the Tenacious D HBO show.
