I'll worry about HD when lag input is a non-issue.
How long do you guys think it will be before every channel starts airing in HD? I just got a new LCD HDTV and I watched some NBC in HD and holy shit it was insane.
Conan O'Brien looked 10x different than the regular version. I kept switching between the regular and the HD version and it was like night and day.
Same with some movies I tried out in my HD DVD player (360 one). The quality is just top notch, I don't know what the next gen could even improve.
Where do you guys see HD in a year?
I'll worry about HD when lag input is a non-issue.
"Your soul better belong to Jesus, mmm-mmmmm..... cause your ass belongs to me!"
I see it exploding in about 2 months, when DirecTV activates its much delayed, but recently deployed, new HD satellite.
Its the incentive for a programmer to make the transition to HD, as thats a rather large customer base that will have access to your programming. It will also force cable companies to get off thier collective asses and carry more HD as well.

HD becomes the broadcast standard in 2009.
Time for a change
We have a long way to go before our standard resolution is indistinguishable from real life.Lag is from signals being converted to different resolutions, so do you want to take a wild guess as to when lag input is a non-issue? When you're using an HD signal on an HDTV!Originally Posted by jonas

I don't think he's talking about watching TV.
But to Chux's point... if you don't research your TV before buying, you're an idiot.
Im lookin to get a HD set.
What are the things i need to look for when doing research?
