Perhaps it was being fried as it traveled through time and had lost its skin as it exited the portal.

  2. Why do you guys think the head went through the portal? Why couldn't it have just been found and kept in the past until the future when the terminator came and got it back?

  3. Because it showed the guy picking up trash on the side of the freeway in 07 getting the head., taking it home, setting it on the table and forgetting about it. Untill the body came in knocking.

And no, even with: oh skin burned out when it went to the future, excuse, it still doesnt make sense. Because if skin would burn off for some strange reason, then all humans skin would burn off, or all the the other terminators would be skinless. You cant just apply the rules when ever you want.

Thats the thing that makes this show bad: not the production values or acting, which are decent. But fucking retarded writing, that just think you are an idiot.

Oh, ok. I didn't see that part because I was flipping back and forth from something else.

You guys are nitpicking about the head? My big nitpick is how did the body end up in the scrap heap? If it was left in '99 it would have ended up in a lab being examined somewhere, and if it made it through the portal I'm pretty sure someone picking up trash would have noticed it and said something about it.
"I don't like fellas that kill me. Not in general."

  6. Guess someone just threw it in the trash.

No, it's not like that at all. Even the dumbest of dumb action movies sets down rules and follows them. John McLane can take a super-human amount of physical punnishment, survive a monsterous fall, drive a car better than anybody, and always outsmart the badguys. Them's the rules.

When a metal Terminator head goes through a time portal, it's like John McLane suddenly flying like Superman for one scene, and then never doing it again.

Then there's the 90% in-tact Terminator body that ends up in a junkyard. We've seen before that even a broken Terminator CPU and half of a Terminator arm are recognized as extreemly valuable.

That would be like when the first nuke goes off in the world of "24" and everybody throws a shit-fit, and then a few years later when the suitcase nuke goes off nobody seems to notice.

That's what's pissing me off about this show. Goofy laws of reality are great. Every action story needs them. But when you break your goofy laws of reality by doing something even more goofy and then not have any on-screen characters even acknowlage that anything is off... Well that's just hard to watch and enjoy.

  9. As long as I'm bitching, I might as well keep on rolling with some nit-picks:

Since when can a time-bubble-gate-thing transport 3 people (and a head) at one time? If these things can move more than 1 person, why did Skynet only send one Terminator in each of the movies? Why did the resistance only send one helper to Sarah each time?

Why would the resistance send a team back to the 60's to build stuff to help Sarah, and then have them stick it in a bank vault and never tell Sarah about it? Where were these guys in 1984 and 1990? Why didn't they just give the stuff to Sarah when they were done? Sarah certainly could have used that gun in T1.

For that matter, why didn't Kyle Reese run straight to that bank in T1? Surely he would have know it was there. Ditto for Arnold in T2.

Why did Summer Terminator bother assembling the gun in the bank vault? All they needed was the time machine to get to the time Skynet was created. If they left the gun alone they could have been out of there before the evil Terminator even showed up. Not to mention the gun wouldn't have been destroyed and they could still go get it in 2007.

Why did the resistance send 4 human resistance fighters to 2007 instead of 4 Terminators reprogrammed?

And for that matter, since when is time travel that common? I thought it was a big deal to send somebody back in time. If Skynet and the resistance can just send people at will now, why aren't there like 10,000 troops fighting a raging war in 2007?

Why isn't Sarah a psycho crazy bitch who could break me in half anymore?

  10. Continuing the nitpicks since I have nothing better to do:

Even if the severed Terminator head had skin that was in the process of burning when it entered the portal and the skin just happened to finish totally vaporizing the instant it exited in 2007...

Why did the head go in the portal at all? Sarah was in the portal, shot the gun away from the portal, and the blast caused the head to fly towards the portal? Huh? I can swallow a blast from a movie-hand gun knocking someone back even though physics doesn't allow for that (unless the blast knocked the trigger man back with equal force)... But a gun blast sucking an object forward hurts the nerd side of my brain a little too much.
