Well, the Simpsons Game sucks, or at least that demo level does. Might be worth renting or picking up for incredibly cheap down the line just for the jokes. The MGO vid is just the same one from TGS, but it's nice to see it in HD.

I finally took some time to address my PS3's slow downloads. It turns out that setting a static IP and placing it in a DMZ makes a world of difference. My UPnP is enabled as well, and my NAT is open, but those were already set that way.
Sony makes two big announcements for its UK customers in a pre-Christmas bid to boost PS3 sales; revised hardware loses PS2 backwards compatibility.
So because there are now so many great PS3 titles (let's not even comment on that), we have decided you don't deserve to play any PS2 games on your PS3. Now go enjoy your $610 "HD" console that ships with composite cables. In a statement, Sony said of the lack of backwards compatibility, that it reflected, "both the reduced emphasis placed on this feature amongst later purchasers of PS3, as well as the availability of a more extensive line-up of PS3 specific titles."
How did we get to a point where we have three console manufacturers that between them can't get one piece of hardware right?
360 - Great system, unreliable hardware
PS3 - No Backwards compatibility, good system, no games
Wii - A trap.
The PS3 is a better piece of hardware than the 360 in every area. Software is another story, obviously.
I didn't really mean to put good system as though it's not better than the 360 hardware wise. But with XBLA I think as a system I like it over the PS3 for now.

Well, according to the article, it's just that one (for now) cheapo (if $610 is cheap) model, which still mysteriously has PSOne BC, just not PS2.
