I finished this yesterday on the normal difficulty level.

What a great game, even if it borrows heavily from lots of other places, the total package is good stuff.

I wish the story was a bit more fleshed out though.

It is almost good enough to make me want to get my 360 online.

Is there any additional content when you play through the harder difficulty levels, or is it basically just more monsters and "lol achievements"?

Nothing additional but it's much harder. Enemies are smarter, they have more health, and you get killed much easier. Some parts (lawl UV Turret) are just agonizing on Insane.
