I hate you.
I don't think they carry children's sizes.
I hate you.
Seems a new F13 movie will be coming sooner rather than later.
Bloody-Disgusting has landed some incredible news! At the Hatchet 3 premiere, our own Evan Dickson interviewed Derek Mears (Jason Voorhees in the 2009 remake) who stated, “I spoke to Brad Fuller and he said that the rights are, as everyone knows, over at Paramount and they’re pushing hard. They’re going we want [a new Friday The 13th movie] as fast as possible.” So now we have confirmation that Platinum Dunes, the production company behind the 2009 remake, is partnering with Paramount for the sequel to Friday The 13th!
Platinum Dunes is Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Michael Bay. They are the studio behind such remakes as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Nightmare On Elm St. and many more.
Mears adds that he might reprise his role as Voorhees, saying, “…I know they [Platinum Dunes] like me and they want me back.” He continues, “…look, even if I’m not a part of the series, as a fan I just want to see more.”

AWW YEEAH
Haven't gotten the blu ray box set, as there isn't a goddamn thing on it that I haven't seen before. They even omitted the unrated JGTH. WTF
In related news, went to see a 35mm screening of Part 8 last Friday. Movie was still ridiculous but it was fun none the less.

Wow, this is a bit ridiculous. Coming from me, that's saying something.

"Angry Mother" saw shavings? Um, yeah, that's pretty nuts.
I actually really dig that framed tree slice.
The potential F13 sequel may be a "found footage" movie. Gay.
BTW, Berrenger, have you watched Crystal Lake Memories yet? If so, care to give a brief review? What better way to start off October than an update on a new big-screen FRIDAY THE 13th film? Well, we knew that Warner Bros gave the rights of the franchise back to Paramount in exchange for a 50/50 split on Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR. We all obviously also knew that Paramount wouldn’t do that just to let the franchise stay dead.
There were some rumors a few years ago that the powers that be wanted to develop the next film with the found footage gimmick and according to Shock Til’ You Drop’s Ryan Turek, Paramount is still taking pitches from filmmakers with this concept.
I absolutely hate the idea of a found footage Jason movie and it seems to completely defeat the fun us fans have with the franchise. I actually enjoyed the remake and wish they would just continue forward with that iteration. I honestly can’t see how this will work but if they want some good will they need to get Derek Mears back as Jason. Hopefully they find a creative way of doing this, and that it isn't just a cash grab with out of touch studio executives just attempting to jump on what they percieve to be the hot new fad. But I doubt it.
On a more positive note though, the other FRIDAY THE 13th fans out there need to make sure they check the incredible documentary, CRYSTAL LAKE MEMORIES. It is the most in-depth documentary you are ever going to find on the franchise and is endlessly entertaining. It is definitely worth the $22.46 it is on Amazon right now so go check it out.
