That's the scariest part of Nightmare, frankly.

I still say the original Nightmare is one of the freakiest movies ever made. It's amazing how Freddy went from so horrific and scary to a fucking cartoon character in the later films.

For real. Jason X is actually pretty fun once you get past the goofy "Jason in space" concept.

8 was pretty silly, yeah, but it's nowhere near as bad as the shitbomb that was Jason Goes to Hell.

Yeah, Jason jumping from body to body was awful, but in terms of wasted potential, VIII makes me hate life.

A remake of the first nightmare would fucking rule. Actually all that's really necessary is to redo some of the special effects that don't work anymore. Like the shot where Freddy's arms are really long and when he first cuts into the blond chicks stomach (the fake torso looks horrible now).

Take out the stuff that pulls you out of it and it'll be that much more effective. One of the reasons why I'd like a new Nightmare sequel, Freddy's still got it. If you strip him down to his original vision he's one of cinemas best monsters.

VIII would have been awesome had it not been for Paramount.

Writer/Director Rob Hedden originally wrote more of the movie to be set in New York. He had written scenes at Madison Square Garden, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Empire State Building. But Paramount told him that budget would not allow him to spend that much time in New York, so he was forced to rewrite the film and spend more time on the cruise ship. Hedden says he agrees with fans who complain that not enough time is spent in New York, given the title Jason Takes Manhattan.

Reamke Part 2 imo. That has to be one of the most homoerotic films I've ever seen. Plus the whole "Freddy takes over Jesse and Wreaks Havoc in the Real World" bit was stupid

Oh, you didn't like it when Freddy stripped the gay gym teacher of his leather S&M outfit, tied him up nude in the showers, and whipped his bare hiney with towels until his buttcheeks were red and raw?

If I hadn't seen the movie myself, I would never believe the above paragraph, but it's true- Freddy actually sexually assaulted another man. I'm suprised he didn't re-enact the rape scene from American History X while he was at it.
