World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

The quest in the catacombs in howling fjord where the dying dude gives you that aura that makes the undead flee from you, and sends you into a pit FILLED with ghouls and bugs & shit was the best thing ever.

I don't play WOW, but I just wanted to pop in and say that I think I vastly and unfairly stereotyped a majority of the WOW playing population.

I went with my brother to the midnight release at a local Gamestop, and I was jaw droppingly suprised at the range of people there. It was not just basement dwelling shut ins, with cheeto stained orange teeth wearing decrepid looking sweatpants, though there were a few of those there. Instead there were groups of cute girls (!) waiting to buy the game, a couple high school jock looking guys, older business men types, and of course a lot of average twenty somethings. But still, it wasn't until that night that I finally understood how fucking epic this WOW thing is. I think Blizzard is really onto something.

How did it go from Everquest in the late 90's, to WOW, where at the midnight release, a cute girl actually walked out of the store with a copy of WOTLK in her hand declaring, "I'll see you all in the world!" I don't know, but I like it.

Have you guys seen any of the dungeons past the two starters? Azjol-Nerub is the most fucking amazing thing.

Yeah, I did the first instance there and the last boss was one of the coolest things ever.

1. Myself transformed into some Iron Dwarf. I wanted to save a shot of the costume but it ended up being pretty neat.
