Thread: The Game Boy Era Is Over

  1. #201
Yeah, who's to say someone buying a Lynx for the first time won't enjoy it? It's partly the buyer's fault if he doesn't like it because he should research the system by looking at videos on the 'net or reading about its battery life. Plus, there's emulation if they aren't opposed to it.

I have found it is very difficult to predict how newcomers will like a system/game playing it for the first time anyway. I haven't really come across late Lynx buyers, though.

  2. I've met a few Lynx newcomers and they were all impressed with the system. I'm sure there exist those that wouldn't be as well, but I haven't met them.

I'm sorry if anyone was offended at the very concept of a top 20 Lynx games list. I'm really dumbfounded that people would be that bothered that I made a list of games for a system they don't like.

Also, SL got a time out because he directly stated that he was intentionally breaking the forum rules. If he didn't do that I wouldn't have banned him. If he comes back and wants to respect the rules, then that's fine.

  3. That's pretty sad. I've had a lot of fond memories with my Game Boy. I remember skipping class just to play Zelda and Final Fantasy Adventure.

Then again, I guess it's best if it just fades away into legend like the NES.

I agree 100%. The whole conversation was one big flamebait on his part, and while that's not necessarily forbidden here, openly trolling and bragging about it is.

  5. Meh

I told you he was trying to set you off Frog. >_>

  6. And in so doing you set him up nicely. Kudos.

I'm an easy guy to troll in general. I love a good argument, although I will get tired of it if someone stops making sense (and I was pretty much done with arguing with SL by the time you showed up). Like I said, I wouldn't have done anything if he didn't feel like bragging about it.

  7. Yeah he should have just kept his mouth shut on that imo. Ah well I'm sure he'll learn. I did agree with some of his points tho even tho he could have been less stuckup about it.

  8. Yeah, it wasn't anything he said about the Lynx that bothered me. The constant "I hate it because the graphics are crap!/LOL graphics don't matter stupid" switch up wasn't winning him any points, but yeah, it wasn't that.

There's a definite line between saying "Mario sucks" and "People who like Mario don't exist/fuck goats/have tiny dicks/whatever".

  9. This is true. Anyways back to Dynamis for me. Gotta get me some new gear.

But on topic, I've never laid hands on a Lynx, and I've never heard of any games for it besides Klax ads in old EGM's. I would pick one up off eBay just for the sake of having one, but my gaming queue is back around the block as it is. Maybe someday, though. Especially if it's such a controversial system.
