    Hmm...

Maybe thats why I keep losing, because I'm just to good for my own...uh, good.

    err...

  2. I haven't been able to tell whether the difficulty rank is based on survival or score. My personal best still stands at just over 3 mil, though. Need to get back into it.
And yes, if you're not playing GA in TATE you might as well not play it at all.
    Too true, too true.

I'm not a big GA fan, but I can wholeheartedly agree with that statement. RayCrisis in particular is cack, IMO. It has its fans, though.

  4. This and Darius Gaiden are Acclaim's two best acquistions ever. Odd though how they kept GA's great Japanese cover art intact and raped Darius Gaiden's art so bad.

And I was completely unaware that TATE mode had more effects. Time to cool the TV down *-neo

  5. Weee!

Just picked up a mint copy of Raycrisis last night.

It seems to be pretty good so far, nowhere near the glory that is GA though.

After I finish GA, I'll probably be moving on to Raycrisis...

  6. It's nice to be able to enjoy a Saturn shooter without importing, and for $15 new. Double nice. I don't play using the full screen mode, but I manage, and I really enjoy it thus far. The floaty controls are a bit odd, but it makes the ship look like it's actually above something, and the bullets are large enough and few enough to avoid. I just got this game a few months ago, and some of the effects were jaw dropping the first time I saw them. It's been so long without decent parallax! And nice music!

I think I'll be avoiding its sequels.

  7. I just picked this one up, a couple of days ago. Great stuff.

    Hell yah!

As old as the game is, it's amazing what some sprites and a bunch of layers of parallax can do.

I haven't played Raycrisis since it got horrible reviews but I liked the first two games quite a bit.

Yea, it has surely gotten plenty of mixed reviews. I can't really pass judgement on it yet, but it seems like it will be pretty sweet.
